My Blog
I thought I would start writing about current events. Some stories just kind of stick out and I'd like other people to know what's on my mind. So these are my commentaries.
1. New Ebola patient transferred to Atlanta. This article is about the 2nd healthcare worker that tested positive while treating a patient in Dallas. The hospital in Dallas is where the patient passed away. It looks like the person treating the deceased is being sent to an Atlanta hospital. Does anyone see a problem with this? This Ebola virus has a 70% death rate, has killed 4500 people and is spreading. No one really knows how it is passed on. The healthcare workers are wearing full protective suits and gear, and they are still catching it. It makes more sense to me, to keep the patients in the Dallas hospital since the virus it there. Don't bring the virus to Atlanta. We don't need another hospital full of Ebola. 2. Dutch biker gang grabs rifles, joins Kurds in fight against ISIS Motorcycle gangs. This is very cool. Maybe we need to load our troops with more tattoos and put them on Harley's to defeat the ISIS. 3. Emu corralled after jaunt through traffic An Emu is a 6 foot bird native to Australia. Someone in Southern California owned the Emu, in the story, and the bird decided to leave it's yard. This type of bird can sprint up to 30mph. If you've ever driven in Los Angeles, most of the cars are going 75mph. Obviously the bird was in the slow lane. Seriously though, the bird was captured by police armed with a spray bottle and returned safely to it's Emu friends.
